The TYR Wodapalooza SoCal Cup 2024 is closely linked to the original Wodapalooza event in Miami, which is one of the most iconic fitness festivals in the world.

The Miami event has established itself as a premier competition in the CrossFit and functional fitness community, drawing elite athletes, fans, and brands from around the globe. With the success of Miami, the organisers have expanded Wodapalooza to the West Coast for the first time in 2024.
The TYR Wodapalooza SoCal aims to bring the same energy and community spirit that Miami is known for, with a focus on showcasing elite athletes in a unique team competition format. While Miami will continue to host its annual event, the addition of the SoCal competition represents a new chapter, allowing the Wodapalooza experience to spread "coast to coast." Both events share similar features, including elite competitions, community events, and fitness challenges, making the West Coast edition a perfect extension of the Miami legacy.
By hosting Wodapalooza in Southern California, the organisers are catering to a growing audience on the West Coast, while maintaining the event's core principles of celebrating fitness, community, and life.
The TYR Cup brings together the best CrossFit athletes from North America and the World in an intense, head-to-head competition. This all-star match-up features two teams, each consisting of four elite men and four elite women, with one male and one female captain leading each squad. The teams will compete over the course of three days, showcasing their skills in various fitness tests.

The competition will run for three days, featuring 11 diverse events across multiple formats (below), including individual, team, and spotlight events.
The winning team of eight will win $160,000 split between them, and the runners up will take home $40,000 to share.
The competition invites elite athletes, including four men and four women per team. These athletes will represent their region—North America or World—and are selected based on their performance in major CrossFit events.
